Baseball Opening Day!

Today was the beginning of Liam's baseball season! It lasts all of May and June. There are six teams for his age division and his team is the Knights! Liam made the age cut off by 2 days, so needless to say, he's one of the very youngest players. They practice for about an hour then play a two inning "game" against one of the other teams. It's the perfect learning baseball program. The main goal for this age group is to learn the basic safety and rules of the game. They do not keep score because no one can get "out" and all of the kids under 6 have no idea what they are doing. It's hilarious. This one kid was up to bat and hit the ball then froze. When they yelled at him to start running he grabbed his crotch and bolted for first. Oh wait...that was my kid.

They got their shirts and hats today. Cute as a bug I tell ya.

Knights can be really silly.

Ginny broke into the trail mix early.

#1 for the Knights!

Liam and our upstairs neighbor, Devin, climbing the fence before things got started.

All the teams lined up for opening ceremony. Klaus, you would have wanted to be on the black team...the Iron Birds. Can you guess what Iron Birds are?

Ginny spent her time being cute...

and playing on my old phone which is now the kid ipod.

Coming in for a water break before the game starts.

I'll post more pictures very soon!
