CHATEAU MABILE

We bought a new table! When Greg and I got married we got a pub table that seats 2, which is a tall table with high, bar stool like chairs. It was a bit dangerous for Liam, who lacks the ability to sit still and also we needed a 3rd chair for him. He was too big for his high chair a year ago, but just wasn't ready for the freedom of a table. This may sound pathetic ,but it was very exciting for us to go get the table. (It makes me think of a story my mom tells about them going to buy a VCR and my older brother very excitedly saying, "Do we get to keep it?!" because they had just rented them from the video store before that.) We had to wait a good 6 weeks for it to come back in stock (it was a doozie of a deal from Ikea), and then had to wait for a day when Greg was off so he could load it in the car. When we got it, we had to put it on a big flat-bed cart which Liam, of course, thought was a big ride. He had a blast and I think he could tell that we were excited. That night, Greg put it together (remember, it came from Ikea) while we watched a movie. I am so happy to have a family table now because it has been so much fun having meals with Liam sitting right there. He thinks he is hot stuff. Also, we can now invite people over for dinner without asking them to bring their own chair!

It's small, but isn't it a happy little table? It works perfectly in our apartment.


Sometimes Ginny-Elizabeth even joins us at the table! Isn't that a weird high chair? Greg got it for free after an event at his hotel. That thing is like $50! Wait until you see, what else he got that day (stay tuned, it'll be in a later blog)...



A table makes it easier for us to do fun things together. This is Liam making the invitations for his birthday party :)





Have you seen Liam's volcano face? If you haven't...this is it. He is all about "cay-noes" right now. Anyway, can't you just see how happy he is about our new table?
