An Ill-Fated Occasion

Well, here are the pictures from our LSU party. We went all out. There was shrimp & oyster gumbo, chicken & sausage (sure wish we could've found andouille up here) gumbo, lemon cream cheese king cake, cinnamon pecan king cake, fresh bread from my very talented downstairs neighbor, and even some grass to chew on when things got tense (okay so it was green coconut)!! Well, as you all know, things never got tense. Ever. Things never really did...anything. Our neighbors had said they would normally not even care the outcome of the game but knowing that we were such huge LSU fans they really hoped we won. Everyone was excited to watch a good game. Eh, nothing we could do about that though. They were all very sweet in their condolences, hahaha.

We decorated as much as we could the night before. Liam woke up the next day and literally bounced off the walls all day long. He was so excited about the decorations and all of his friends coming over. **The wall was already purple!

I found signs online and had Greg help me make some. He printed them and we taped them up.

Too bad they weren't playing in Tiger Stadium.

Everybody chowing down. They were all very adventurous and willing to try. Some even went for the boiled eggs and file in it!

The two youngest attendees. Ginny and Alice found common ground.

Alice rivals even Jeremiah in good baby-ness. She just played and played in the floor.

This is where the real party was! These kids had a blast.

After a while they asked to watch Cars 2. And after an even shorter while they were done with that and playing again! You may notice that they are all girls. There is even another little girl on the way!

There's Carter! He's the only other little boy. He just turned 2.

Geaux Tigers! They were taking the field.

Everyone was ready to watch a good game.

Keya and Ginny. They played with that toy together for at least 20 straight minutes.

Ella was a big fan of the bilibo and look who is over there snuggled up by Ella's Dad! That was why I took this picture. That's a big deal for Ginny.

Well, the game may have been a nightmare, but the party certainly wasn't. We love our neighbors and are already thinking of another excuse to have them all over again!
