Just A Few More...
Tuesday, September 27, 2011 Edit This 0 Comments »So after we had finished looking at the dealership and were walking back to the car, Greg stopped and said, "LOOK." Not too far away was a combine harvesting some corn! We couldn't believe our luck. Liam was not happy about leaving so it was doubly lucky because it helped us get him out of there.
So we made our way over to it! I took more videos than pictures of this (which I'll post later) so this is the only one that came out pretty good. Oh man would we have loved to get him a ride in that thing, but this is what these people do for a living and we were not about to ask. They were working. From the looks of what we saw, the corn harvest is just getting underway...there is alot of work to be done!
What was Ginny doing? Waiting patiently in the car for a little while...but then she got hungry. You'll hear her on one of the videos.
So we went to a local-yocal diner sort of deal and had lunch! Bacon cheeseburger with a chocolate malt...yuuuummy! When we asked Liam what he wanted to eat he said corn. I guess watching it being harvested made him want some. He happily settled for some of my malt.
Ginny-Beth had sweet potatoes and corn though!
Guess what he did as soon as we got home. Remember that he calls any patch of carpet showing "the wheat."
We had a very memorable mini roadtrip. (The fall colors are at about 25% in this part so it was a pretty drive.) Liam keeps asking to go back. Thank you Belle Plaine, Minnesota!
